一、专业培养目标

Ⅰ.Educational Objectives

本专业培养具有坚实的英语语言基础和娴熟的语言交际能力，较宽广的社会文化知识和一定的经贸基础知识、具备一定的翻译实践能力（特别是初、中级口译能力）和商务英语沟通能力的复合式应用型人才。本专业毕业生应能胜任外经贸企业、涉外机构等部门基本的口笔译工作和能从事外语外贸工作。

This undergraduate program aims at cultivating students as qualified intermediate-level interpreters and translators in business with a sound English language, a good understanding of foreign trade, encyclopedic knowledge and communicative competence who are able to do consecutive interpretation, as well as translation in the field of foreign trade and economy. The graduates after the program will be capable of working either as translators or as interpreters in government departments, companies of foreign trade or enterprises and institutions or sectors concerning foreign affairs or being working staff in business world.

To declare a major in business English, the student should.

1、具备良好的政治素质，具有高尚的道德修养，具有较强的事业心和责任感。

Be politically conscientious with a lofty mind and a strong sense of commitment and obligation.

2、了解我国的国情和英语国家的社会和文化，具备比较宽泛的社会文化知识、较强的跨文化交际能力和国际视野；具备敏捷的逻辑思辨及反应能力；具有解决实际问题的能力。

Have a better understanding of both Chinese and English culture and traditions; have encyclopedic knowledge,communicative competence and international perspective; be apt in logical thinking and quick in response; be capable of solving practical problems.

3、具有扎实的英语语音、词汇、语法等语言基础，具备熟练的听、说、读、写、译等语言运用能力。

Have a firm command of basic knowledge in English pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, and be proficient in language practice in terms of listening, speaking, reading, writing, translating and interpreting.

4、具有较强的英语交际能力，并掌握一定的外贸、外经知识和具备从事经贸翻译（特别是初、中级口译）业务能力的良好素质。

Have a sufficient English language communicative competence; Have a good command of basic knowledge of foreign trade and economy; Be qualified in elementary or intermediate level business translation and interpretation practice.

5、具有一定的第二外语实际应用能力和计算机应用能力，一定的体育和军事基本知识，具备健康的心理和体魄。

Be able to use a second foreign language and computers; Have a general understanding of the basic knowledge of physical education and have a good experience of military training. Be healthy both physically and mentally.
